Peter Friedman is not only a Dartmouth Republican Town Committee member but he is also a professor of mechanical engineering at the University of Massachusetts - Dartmouth, a member of the Dartmouth Finance Committee, a Dartmouth Town Meeting member from precinct 10, and a retired naval submarine officer.  As a freelance columnist he writes the "Conservative Corner" for the Standard-Times that generally appears on the first and third Thursdays of every month.
